The AGi32 and Photometric Toolbox software can utilize luminaire photometric data in IES, Eulumdat and British Standard TM-14 formats directly. Photometric data files can be obtained from a variety of sources and our software can access them anywhere on your computer system or network.
While using randomly accessed photometry may occasionally be convenient, the use of the Instabase System built into our software promises a much richer experience with convenient browsing, images, symbols and powerful query capability. Read on!
About the Instabase System
The Instabase System is a web-based delivery mechanism containing luminaire photometric data from many of the lighting industry's most prominent manufacturers packaged directly into AGi32 and Photometric Toolbox. Each manufacturer's photometric files are in IES standard format and are compiled into unique individual Instabase files. Manufacturer Instabases are stratified categorically by product or application (designed by each manufacturer), and include photographic product images, Internet links, custom symbols and have been checked for accuracy. The unique Instabase format allows specific product photometry to be easily located and makes browsing a manufacturer's product offering convenient and informative.
A typical Instabase file is shown in the adjacent column. Browsing a manufacturer's product offering is as easy as following the tree branches. Photographs, descriptions and candela curves are shown at a glance, and powerful query capability is available as well. It is easy to stay up to date with the manufacturer's product data as the Instabase System has a subscription service that notifies you when the manufacturer has uploaded changes to their data. |

The Instabase System is supported by over 60 of the industry's most progressive manufacturers and is growing steadily. A complete manufacturers list can be found HERE.
New users, please note that while the Instabase files can be downloaded from this link, this is NOT the best way to obtain the instabase data. The preferred avenue is to use the Instabase command with AGi32 or Photometric Toolbox to download and install automatically. Instabase Subscriptions are also ONLY available through the software directly.
IMPORTANT! The Instabase files are ONLY compatible with the AGi32 and Photometric Toolbox software.
Users with connectivity problems visit the connectivity page.| Need photometric conversion capability? Now you can freely convert between IES , CIBSE-TM-14 and EULUMDAT formats with Photometric Toolbox - Professional Edition. Learn more. |
