Q. What is PocketAGI?

A. PocketAGI provides lighting calculation tools for your PDA. Room Estimator provides a quick Zonal Cavity estimator for rectangular rooms.

Q. Can I use any manufacturer's photometric data with PocketAGI?

A. Yes. The Desktop Companion provides an interface for compiling your photometric data into a database that is transferred to PocketAGI. You may select individual photometric files from any location on your PC or use AGi32's InstaBase (for users with AGi32).

Q. How much photometric data can I use with PocketAGI?

A. The photometric data sent to PocketAGI is refined and compressed to take up the least amount of space possible. You can include a multitude of photometric files with very small file sizes. Specifically, the amount of data you can transfer to your PDA is dependant on the amount of memory available on your handheld. Newer PDAs with larger memory caches will, of course, provide more storage capacity.

Q. Will PocketAGI work with any PDA?

A. PocketAGI runs on handhelds with PalmOS™ version 3.0 and 4.0.

Q. Why do I get an Installer Tool error message when trying to add either PocketAGI.prc, MathLib.prc, or PhotometricData.pdb to the installer?

A: Using the PocketAGI Desktop Companion, you can only perform one function at a time: either “Send PocketAGI to handheld” or “Send Photometric data to handheld”. Attempting to perform both functions with the Palm Installer Tool open with cause the error. Close the Palm Installer Tool and select the second function in the Desktop Companion to complete the process.

Q. How can I get PocketAGI?

A. PocketAGI is no longer available as a current product from Lighting Analysts.
